Through two of our Associates, Mariano Pallottini and Laura Frontalini we can offer clients visits and tours throughout central and south Le Marche. We aim to offer our clients an unsurpassed range of places and people they can visit and activities to take part in, and provide them with an experience they will always remember.

Mariano

Mariano is based in the village of Carassai in the Ascoli Piceno province, and his family has lived in the area for many generations. In fact he thinks his ancestors might have lived in this part of Le Marche for maybe well over 500 years!
He has a wide range of interests and a deep love for all aspects of life in Le Marche. He speaks both English and French and is well known in the area for his encyclopaedic knowledge of the history and culture of Le Marche.

Mariano has unparalleled knowledge of the Ascoli Piceno province, both its art, history and architecture. He can help guide a visitor through the region so that they can more fully appreciate the beauty and culture of Le Marche and its people.

His interest includes the artists who have lived and worked in Le Marche makes him ideal to arrange and also guide tours around places and buildings which still have examples of famous artists work on show. Work by artists such as Carlo Crivelli, Piero della Francesca and Lorenzo Lotto are found throughout Le Marche.

In 2009 he has also started to arrange guided tours of vineyards and olive oil producers in and around Carassai and also the surrounding areas. He is also able to offer advice and help on wedding venues in the southern Le Marche area and he can offer a full service to include transport, catering and music.

Laura

Laura is originally from Cingoli in the Macerata province but now lives in the beautiful coastal resort of Senigallia, just north of Ancona. She was at University in Macerata and has two language degrees. As well as being an associate of Livinginlemarche.com, she is also a freelance interpreter and frequently travels throughout Europe on assignments.

Laura has worked for both the Le Marche and Italian tourist boards as well as being involved with companies producing wine in the Offida and Riptransone areas of south Marche. She also has extensive knowledge of the culture, history and architecture in Macerata and Senigallia area of central Le Marche.

Through her contacts with the international press, Laura has been actively involved with promoting to the outside world all the attractions of the Le Marche regions, food, wine, art and lifestyle.

Our comprehensive range of tours include visits to local vineyards and wine producers, including many small organic producers. Typical of such producers is the small vineyard owned by Signora Franca near Tolentino, which produces naturally sparkling wines made mainly from the Vernaccia grape.

Olive oil production is a large industry in Le Marche and the oil is becoming increasingly well known throughout Italy. We again aim to concentrate on smaller producers, many producing oil in the old traditional method.

As well as visiting food and wine producers, our Gastronomic tours prove very popular. Knowing their particular areas extremely well our Associates can show you the best restaurants and food outlets covering many food specialities, whether it be for fish, meat or pasta.

Visits to Galleries and Museums throughout Le Marche are available and are always very popular. Musically, Le Marche has claim to Giovan Pergolesi, Gaspare Spontini and Gioacchino Rossini. There are several theatres across Le Marche offering world-class concerts and recitals throughout the year, including the world famous open air Sferisterio arena in Macerata. Clients can therefore choose from a large range of activities and visits and our Associates will prepare a tailored schedule to suit their exact requirements.

Please contact us at tours@livinginlemarche.com and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.
