Le Marche Food and Wine event in London

We at Livinginlemarche together with Sagraitalia and Vinitours have recently been approached by several small artisan wine and food producers in Marche to see if we could sound out the possiblity of holding a dedicated Marche event in London next spring. As Sagraitalia is heavily involved with Italian themed events in London it seemed a good idea to look into the possibility of holding such an event.

Summer in Le Marche

This summer has so far given us days of hot sunshine and also very high temperatures at times, last week we experienced 40c in some places in the region and even at night the temperature was in many cases very uncomfortable. The hot weather has been blamed on the "African bubble" hot air coming up from the Sahara and several of these bubbles are said to form and migrate north into Europe each summer. A similar small bubble was said to have gone even further north in to the Uk this week giving very hot conditions there for a few days.

The past month has seen an exceptional growth in interest in all types of property in Le Marche. Azienda Vinicola Venturi

Roberto Venturi is passionate about the wines he produces at his vineyard near the pretty Le Marche village of Castelleone di Suasa and we are keen supporters of this small artisan winemaker. A friend of Livinginlemarche, a wine importer from Norfolk recently was looking for new Italian wines to increase his range on offer to the public and we had no hesitation in putting forward Roberto's name.

Frantoio Montedoro London Visit

Andrea Tomassetti from the olive oil company Frantoio Montedoro is coming to the UK again this spring to hold some tastings and workshops at food events in London and other cities in the UK. Frantoio Montedoro produces a small but very fine range of olive oils including a monovarietal Raggia, the Progetto Qualita which is a blend and an organic olive oil which has proved very popular in the UK at tasting events.

My Australian friend and foodie Ben was in Le Marche for a week as part of his three week tour round Italy. Last week he came with another friend Andrea Tomasetti of the Frantoio Montedoro on a visit to Vini Centanni last week.

Truffle tours in Le Marche.  

Truffle tours in the Le Marche region have been popular for many years and Livinginlemarche with Vinitours are now pleased to be able to offer a range of tours, visits and truffle hunts. Our friend and associate Andrea Tomasetti from the Frantoio Montedoro olive oil mill also has woods specially planted for the cultivation of truffles in the Senigallia area.

Le Marche Properties in spring of 2012.

Livinginlemarche is now receiving more enquiries about properties we have for sale than in any time over the past three years. We believe this reflects a growing confidence in the market on the part of potential buyers from the UK and elsewhere, particularly from Australia and the US. Enquirers are also following up the initial enquiry with plans to visit the region to visit properties which is also a very encouraging sign that the market has turned a corner.

Le Marche Wine Events

Le Marche wines are not really known much outside of Italy and in fact normally are unavailable in other countries. Livinginlemarche together with Sagraitalia.com set out in 2010 to publicise these wonderful wines in the UK and beyond, and have held several popular wine tasting events in London, Norwich and other parts of the UK.

Casa Apiro
€390,000
