Road Travel in Le Marche

The Le Marche region is very lucky to have excellent travel links to other parts of Italy and Europe, both by rail, road, sea and air. As well as a modern airport just north of Ancona at Falconara it also has the large and busy sea port at Ancona with excellent routes to eastern europe, Greece and other parts of the Mediterranean. But most visitors will only tend to use the road links within Le Marche and an important part of these is the A14 Autostrada.

Summer Jamboree 2010

This year marks the tenth Summer Jamboree to be held in the Adriatic coastal resort of Senigallia in central Le Marche. The event was started by three local men ten years ago to promote retro ninteen fifities music, clothes and lifestyle and has grown year by year until now it has become famous all over Italy and also in other parts of Europe.

Fractional ownership is a concept which originated in the US and is today a growing part of property markets in the UK and Europe but is often mixed up with quite similar timeshare schemes.

I first came across the idea of fractional ownership when I was asked by a developer who specialised in these schemes for help with a property that he was in the process of restoring in central Le Marche three years ago.

Mortgages in Italy

To obtain a Mortgage from an Italian Bank has always been difficult for foreign buyers, but recently it has become almost impossible to obtain finance from Banks in Italy. Even British Banks with branches in Italy, these often based in Milan and Rome are very reluctant to lend to foreign property buyers in all parts of Italy. Potential purchasers have to have impeccable credit ratings and often have to have had an Italian Bank account for a period of time before trying to obtain finance.

Porto san Giorgio

Porto san Giorgio in southern Le Marche is a wonderful typically Italian seaside resort, though I must admit that my favourite resort on the Le Marche coast is actually Senigallia, but Porto san Giorgio does come a very close second.

Ancona Airport in Le Marche

When I first visited Le Marche nearly eleven years ago, I flew from Stansted on one of the first flights by Ryanair into Aeroporto di Ancona Falconara airport which is the correct name for the main airport in Le Marche and is located just north of the regions capital of Ancona. The airport is sited very close to the Adriatic coast and is located in the very centre of eastern Italy.

Tourism and the Sibillini Mountains.

Many tourists and visitors from all over the world come to Le Marche to experience the wonderful walks and scenery in the breathtaking Sibillini Mountains which are part of the Apennine Mountain chain and are located in the east of the region.

Le Marche; Sagre and Festivals

At this time of year when we are still in the depths of winter it is always nice to look forward to the wonderful summer Sagre and festivals that we have in Le Marche. Sagre are found all over Italy and are local food fairs that have come about over the centuries to celebrate the fruits of the earth and harvest.

Life in Le Marche 2010.

I believe that the coming year will bring major opportunities for many who live in this wonderful part of Italy and also for many others who do business in the Le Marche region.

Le Marche is a truly beautiful and unspoilt part of Italy and is rightly known by many Italians “As all of Italy in one region”

The Le Marche Property Market 2009.

At his time of the year, so near to Christmas, I always like to look back and review how I feel that the property market in Le Marche and indeed the whole of Italy has behaved in the past twelve months and what if any trends seem to be showing up for the coming year in 2010.
