Le Marche Farmhouses are back in favour! 

Buying and restoring farmhouses and country houses is back in vogue amongst people looking for property for sale in Le Marche this summer. 

For a while UK buyers had deserted this particular sector in favour of apartments and village houses, but the market has swung back very quickly in their favour.

Initially property investors in LeMarche were mainly interested in farmhouse restoration, land a development costs were relatively cheap and so this made sense.

But things have changed!

The Le Marche Property Market and the Strong Euro

The Euro’s increase against Sterling and has had the effect of increasing the price of property in Italy  by over 15% to buyers from the UK.

Houses and land for sale in Le Marche have increased dramatically in price over the last five years but they started out from a very low base, often the properties were virtually worthless to the owners and they had let them fall into disrepair.

Normally at this time of year the property market in Le Marche, much the same as in the rest of Europe has still yet to show any signs of life.But this year, even with all the financial turmoil throughout the western world, the market seems to picking up early with many enquiries and visits already planned to the region.

Winter and work in Le Marche 

The winter has well and truely set in in Le Marche, and this winter is shaping up to be much colder and with much more snow than the previous few winters. Last weekend the weather could not make up its mind and ranged from clear sunlit sky's, to torrrential rain and then freezing winds and snow showers.

Autumn is here in Le Marche. 

The weather in Le Marche this spring and summer has been wonderful and the summer has been one of the driest on record. Temperatures climbed into the mid forties centigrade on several days and it seemed to be never ending! the days and weeks rolled past with barely a change in the blue skies and hot sunny days.

Summer in a hot Le Marche!! 

Getting back to a cold and very wet England last Monday after a week in an extremely hot and dry Italy was certainly a shock to the system!!

I had spent a week in Le Marche, alot of it in Senigallia, the beautiful Adriatic resort north of Ancona. An evening in one of the many seafood restaurants on the beachfront gave me one of the best seafood experiences I have had in the 8 years I have been going to Le Marche.
